New Release Alert! WORKING OUT THE KINKS is Live!

Hey everyone! You know how sometimes all your readers are waiting for Book 2 in the Not So Series, and you accidentally publish a long, dirty romance about a grumpy, washed up rock star and a rich, spoiled brat instead?
...Oh, that's just me? :)
My surprise new release, WORKING OUT THE KINKS, is live! This book is free to read with your Kindle Unlimited subscription, and for a VERY limited time, you can buy it for 99c!

A grumpy, broken, not-quite rock star who doesn’t believe in love.
A lonely, relentless spoiled brat who’s looking for someone to belong to.
A past that makes it crazy to even think about.
A reunion that’s impossible to forget.
Mistakes aren’t supposed to feel this good…
I learned early on that pretty much everything in life is a scam, and love's at the top of the list. Easy to fake, maximum payout, and people just never stop falling for it.
Watching my mom break hearts and empty bank accounts as we bounced from house to house taught me just how dangerous feelings could be. That's a whole lot of hassle I don't need.
These days, I stick to three basic rules. I don’t take something just because I want it. I don’t ask for help, even if I need it. And I never look twice at a guy who has a bigger bank account than I do. I know where those things can get you, and it's not anywhere I need to go.
I’m perfectly happy never getting too close to anyone. Just scraping by with my guitar, chasing the rock star dream until my time or my sanity runs out. At least, I thought I was.
Until Brett showed up.
Another thing I don’t do is think about the past. Ever. So, the last person I need to go breaking all my rules for is the cocky, spoiled brat who used to sleep in the room across the hall.
No matter how gorgeous he is now.
No matter how filthy he is in bed.
No matter how good it feels when he says all he wants in the world is me.
Working Out the Kinks is a 98,000 word filthy forbidden romance novel about a grumpy, broken rock star who refuses to fall in love, and a lonely, relentless, spoiled brat looking for someone to belong to. So much angst, so much arguing, so much spanking, and just a touch of taboo. (An unrequited crush between former stepbrothers.) Avoid at all costs if you don’t like those things. But if you love ’em like I do, carry on.

Surprise! It's a book! Not So Smart is Live!

An angsty virgin who might be a little twisted.
A moody manwhore who might be a little lonely.
All they wanted was to use each other for one dirty, kinky night.
Feelings were absolutely not part of the plan.

“It wasn’t obsession, exactly. Except, it probably was.”
Damon Price is a brutally hot, ripply muscled, scarily confident, dimpled god. Without his hard body to stare at three times a week, I probably would have dropped out of college months ago. Too bad he doesn't know I exist. But, even if he did know, even if it was true that he screwed anything and everything that moved, an awkward virgin like me would still be at the bottom of his to-do list.
Even if he knew the kind of filthy stuff I actually wanted.
Even if he knew the last thing I need is any kind of relationship.
“I never meant to fuck a virgin.”
I should have been out the door the second that word came out of his mouth. A virgin was not what I was looking for. Except, damn, he knew how to talk. Knew how to say things so off-the-grid dirty I hardly knew what to say back. And talk wasn’t all he knew how to do. There’s kinky, and then there’s crazy, and then, apparently, there’s Josh Holloway-- who’s up for anything.
And who I definitely should not still be thinking about.
Because the last thing I need is any kind of relationship.
NOT SO SMART is a 52,000 word enemies-to- (still-mostly-enemies-but-also-) lovers novel, featuring messed up college guys who are great at lying to themselves, wall to wall sex, naked guitar playing, inappropriate library behavior, inappropriate dressing room behavior, inappropriate tube sock behavior, bondage, spanking, little bit of shoplifting, and some very unwelcome romantic feelings.
This is the first book in the NOT SO series. It is a self contained story with no cliffhanger, but it's not really a standalone, since the series continues, and should be read in order. Book 2, NOT SO NICE releases soon.
NOT SO SMART is based on a previously published short story series (Smart Boy). It has been substantially re-edited and expanded by 30,000 words.

For anyone who read the old Smart Boy short stories, you probably recognize Josh and Damon. :) This novel is based on those original three shorts, and we left in the best parts, but it's been completely overhauled, and expanded by about 30,000 words (most of them dirty and angsty). So now, it's a full length novel! (And if you never read those original stories, well, I guess now you know a fun bit of trivia, lol.)
I know you guys have been asking for more Josh and Damon for a long time, and I am SO excited to bring them back with this book.
Happy Reading!
PS- Everyone waiting for more Kyle & Juno and more Bax & Alex, I promise I haven't forgotten about them! 2017 is going to be a super busy year for releases! Thanks for being patient with me! :)

ETA- Publish dates on books 2 & 3 of the Not So series have been slightly delayed. Apologies, and I appreciate your understanding.

End of Year Updates!

Hey, peeps! I know I'm not much of a blogger, these days, but I thought I'd pop in to give a quick little end of year wrapup, and let you all know a few things that are going on over here. So, here's a crazy one!!

Guess what? Old School Discipline was nominated for a Member's Choice Award in The Best BDSM category!

I was so surprised to see myself on the list along with some of my favorite authors and books! Hell, I'm still surprised when people tell me that they've read anything I've written, and to find out that someone enjoyed the book enough to nominate it is really cool!

I don't Goodreads much, and I definitely don't expect to find myself on awards lists, (although I've very proud of OSD! <3 )so this came as a big surprise! (I'm also not so great at staying in the loop these days, so thank you, nice peeps messaged me to let me know I'd been nominated, lol!) I really love this book, and I love Bax and Alex, and I'm so excited that readers have enjoyed it too!

If you want to check out all the categories and vote for any of the books nominated, here's the link to the polls. (You have to be a member to vote, but it's as simple as clicking join group, if you're not one already.) Fair warning, looking through all the categories will probably cause your TBR to skyrocket. :)

Because of some promotions that are running this week, Old School Discipline is actually on sale right now, which is a nice coincidence! If you'd like to check it out, you can find it on Amazon for 99c through 12/26. (It's also in KU again, after its two-month tour wide, so available to borrow.)

I'm currently at work on an OSD sequel, but grumpy, suspicious, secretive Bax talks a looooot slower than snarky, motormouth Alex, so it's definitely taking longer to write. It's getting there though, and feeling pretty good. It will make an appearance in 2017. :)

Next up, though (it's been delayed a bit by life, such as it is, but look for it in early 2017) will be the rerelease of Smart Boy-- as a full length novel with lots and lots of extra words! So much more Josh and Damon! If you're subscribed to the newsletter, there just might be a sexy little sneak peek sitting in your inbox! Happy Holidays!!

And of course, more Benched is coming up soon. There's a lot to balance, but I'm moving along. :)

. . . . . .

. . . . . .

. . . . . .

And now for a little sappiness. If that's not your style, feel free to skip the rest.

Since I'll be traveling the rest of 2016, this is probably the last blog post of the year. So, it seems like a good time to say thank you to everyone who's supported me this year. My first novel release was so much more fun and exciting than I ever could have expected, and as a tiny little fish just getting started in this pond, that means everything! :)

But, even more than that, so many of you reached out to me this summer when I lost a family member, sent such thoughtful emails and messages and virtual hugs. I can't really share my gratitude enough. It's been a pretty hard road since then, and I appreciate everyone's patience and support and love while I work on righting myself again. I've been slower than I've meant to be, releases have been pushed back, and I've been a little scattered in general. I know how frustrating it is to wait for books, and everyone has been so understanding. The genuine kindness I've experienced this year has been overwhelming.  Here's hoping 2017 is a better year for everyone. I have so many things I'm excited about, and I feel like my mojo is finally coming a little easier. I can't wait to share everything with you all.

Happy Holidays/Winter/Summer/Whatever is currently making you happy! See you in 2017!
